Perak Trip - Roadshow Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi

Perak Darul Ridzuan, the Land of Grace, covers an area of 21,000 square kilometres and has a population of about two million.

The state is divided into nine districts and its major towns include lpoh, Kuala Kangsar, Taiping, Teluk Intan and Lumut. Kuala Kangsar is the royal town of Perak, while lpoh is the administrative centre and state capital.

I went to Ipoh for Education Roadshow and the response was so overwhelming!
This was my first time went to Ipoh and I found that Perak is filled with beautiful places especially their caves. I have no time to look around the state since I had roadshow to be attended. However, thanks to my colleague as she drove and showed me the beauty of Perak.

We stayed at Hotel Tower Regency for 3 nights. The hotel was fine. I like the big room and less furniture emphasized on the room itself. Unfortunately, our television was small which I don't think it is part of nice elements.

Luckily, the hotel situated right in front of the roadshow's location. So... WE ARE FREE & EASY!!! * naughty laughing*

I also went to the shopping mall and it was SALE time! I bought a pair of shoe, black shoe from Vincci which costs me RM89.90 after 10% discount (only). I also bought Sticky Sweet which was my first time saw and get to know this product... It's yummy and cool!!!

OK, now... Let's get back to the roadshow...
Two days of event made me sick and realized there were so many students in one place and the crowd of them were really havoc and pack!!!

The event went well and lot's of students came. I mean...the crowd were amazing!
I even lost my voice because of counseling activity!!!

Fuhh! But I'm happy because I can do it! I managed to counsel them which means I have helped them in terms of education path line and career advancement. Oh,this was like a new step up for me especially in this industry which I never even imagined being here. *Rolling on the floor*

There was a girl asked about credit transfer if she wish to further her Degree at Taylor's. She came with her transcript and asked whether will she go into Year 2 in Degree or she needs to start from Year 1. So, without hesitation, I called my manager to double checked. The answer I received was she need to email her transcript to us as we will forward it to Dean of the school. So, she did. She did sent to us and as I mentioned, we have forwarded it to the Dean. The follow up case took almost 2 weeks to resolve and today (6th April 2011) I received an email from the Dean stating that she will receive 8 subjects exempted, also entry to Year 2 in Degree. Fuhh! I was so......thankful to the Dean for her immediate and kind attention regarding this matter.

That was my experience going to Perak. Surprisingly, I will go to Perak again this week for MARA Education Carnival. Weehoooo!!! *jumping and running around the office*
